existing laboratory construction projects.
Our systems are structured to meet the needs of the industrial,
education, healthcare or pharmaceutical communities.
Our modular, flexible workbenches stay modular and
flexible, year after year after year. Your investment in our system will
be protected because workbench we design for one task today can be
reconfigured in years to come for a different use. Designed and built
for heavy-duty everyday use, including full-perimeter framework beneath
the work surface to help protect against sagging and warping, top
quality materials, and a tough powder coated paint finish, our
workbenches are built to last.
Whatever the laboratory requirement,
Alpha Chemicals

Work Surface
Depending on customer needs, those criteria may be appropriate in the
customer’s selection process along with their cost and other aspects
important to them. Our intent is to stimulate customer to consider and
define their needs to which work surface appropriate for its specific
use. Customer must define which criteria are important to their
particular lab environment.
There are few type
of work surface that usually been used in Laboratory. Such as:-
1. Hardwood –
multiple strips of solid hardwood glued together and can be finished
in penetrating oil or clear synthetic finish.
(suitable to
engineering or technical workbench)
2. Epoxy Resin – epoxy resin tops and sinks are produced from a
composite of epoxy resin, silica, inert fillers and organic
hardeners. Material is cast and cured in ovens at elevated
temperatures. This material is homogeneous throughout and
non-absorbent.
(Suitable for Organic
Chemical lab or high concentrated chemical lab)
3. Solid Surface –
Tops and sinks are produced from a composite of natural minerals,
acrylic and/or polyester resin, or epoxy resin, free from internal
strengthening fibers, and pigment. The resulting product is
homogenous throughout, renewable, and non-porous. Where appropriate,
solid surface may feature inconspicuous seams of similar
composition.
(Suitable for blood
banks, pharmaceutical lab, dispenser Lab. etc)
4. Stainless Steel – stainless steel tops and sinks are usually
fabricated from 14 to 18 gauge type 304 or 316 series stainless
steel. Surfaces are integrally
formed with all seams fully welded with stainless steel
fillers, ground smooth, and blended to a #4 mill finish (solder
or compounded fillers not acceptable).
(Suitable for Forensic Lab, blood testing lab, Soil lab etc)
5. High Pressure Laminate Phenolic Resin – high pressure plastic
laminate tops are made from melamine-impregnated papers pressed
over phenolic-impregnated Kraft paper layers. The back is sanded
to facilitate bonding to the top of suitable substrate.
The Worktop shall be subjected to combine action pressure
(90kg/cm2) and heat (temperature 150 degree C) in special presses
where the resins poly condenses. The finish surface shall give
smooth, glossy, non-porous, seamless, abrasion and high resistance
to chemicals and organic solvents.
(Suitable for general teaching lab, Primary and Secondary
School etc).

We
have range of laboratory bench controls covers water fittings, high
and low pressure gas fittings, remote control fittings, treated water
fittings and steam fittings.
All
the standard water and gas outlets have brass bodies. All fittings
have an anti-corrosive plastic coating ensuring a hard. Tough coat
capable of withstanding all but the most severe misuse and providing
resistance to bench top spillages and corrosive vapors.
|
| |
Our
Polypropylene piping system is a complete corrosion resistant
plumbing system which embraces laboratory bench items such as
wastes, sinks and drip cups, anti siphon bottle traps, and
expansion joints. It has been designed for low pressure chemical
effluents making it an ideal choice for university, school,
hospital and industrial laboratory installations. Polypropylene
has very high resistance to chemical attack.

Polypropylene chemical waste drainage is based on the need to
supply a waste system which has a high chemical resistance
rating, in respect of the corrosive materials which it has to
convey, good tensile strength, ductility, abrasion resistance,
high impact strength, weather resistance and is stable over the
range of temperatures.

Fume
cupboard to draw fumes, vapours and gases which can be dangerous or
even fatal to the operator. It is used in medical, pharmaceutical,
general industrial, teaching and research laboratories.
Our Fume
cupboard is aerodynamic bench type complete with an automatic
air-by-pass system. It is constructed in accordance with these
specifications by an established manufacturer experience in design and
manufacture of aerodynamic fume cupboard. The design shall give a very
high degree of protection as well as facilities for sophisticated
accessories.
The frame
and exterior side manufactured from electro galvanised steel sheet
with oven baked epoxy coated powder to add durability to it. Inner
chamber or inner liner is made of fibreglass reinforced polyester
moulded in 1 piece with unbroken gel coat, without seams or joints.
Standard
widths of Fume Cupboard are 1.0m, 1.2m, 1.5m, and 1.8m. Standard depth
of 760mm; Overall height is 2400mm.
We
provide 2 type of fume cupboard:-
General
Purpose Fume Cupboard.
Perchloric Acid Fume Cupboard.
|
 |
 |
It is
same size as general purpose fume cupboard but we have another unit
beside F/C as Fume Scrubber. It is made of
2 water sprinkler, 2 standard filters, Neutralising
Tank and Water Pump. The unit is one-piece moulded chemical fire
retardant grade fibreglass reinforced plastic. It incorporates
two-patented HEPA filters pad in removable frames, together with a
spray jet section all internally mounted. Both pads and spray bar can
be viewed through a clear PVC inspection panel.
Advantages using our fume scrubber are:-
It can remove up to 95% of acid fume before they enter
the main extraction ductwork. The old traditional method of fittings
sprays throughout the entire run of the extraction ducting is
questionable in it efficiency. As well as being suspect in this
respect, they are cumbersome and expensive to install.
All services unit are contained within the fume
cupboard and its support unit with easy access to pump tank etc.
The unit self-contained and all components are visible.
Inspection maintenance is simplified. The traditional duct washing
method requires inspection of each spray nozzle throughout the
extraction system and this can be hazardous in itself.
Automatic water system will consume less water when the
close circuit re-circulating washes system in installed.
Before discharging and draining the washing solution
from the recirculating tank, it can be tested to ensure compliance
with the requirements of the various authorities
